Professional Accrediting Organizations

These accreditations typically cover a specific program of professional education or training, but in some cases they cover the whole institution. The Cultural Division of the UAE Embassy and the Ministry of Education (MOE) require the accreditation of the programs by their appropriate Professional and Specialized Accrediting Organizations, such as:

• Business Administration:
  AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
• Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science and Applied Sciences:
  Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
• Journalism and Mass Communications:
  The Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC)
• Law:
  The American Bar Association (ABA)
• Interior Design:
  Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA)
• Art and Design:
  National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD)
• Social Work:
  Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
• Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration:
  Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA)
• Planning:
  Planning Accreditation Board (PAB)
